We are currently looking for a Services Maintenance Manager that will be supporting our customer's operating facility in Ontario, CA.

POSTION SUMMARY:

As a Services Maintenance Manager, you will be managing the operations crew and activities of service contract. Proactively locate improvement opportunities in operational process and activities and will be the backup of the Contract Manager.

Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Manage the operations team
  • Continuous improvement of the system operations and team performance
  • Performance communication and reporting for both system and team operations
  • Manage and advise on the performance of third-party agencies

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manages operations teams and shift schedules and distribute activities
  • Ensure optimal manpower and skills distribution
  • Establishes improvement opportunities, create improvement plan and execute it
  • Rotates staff to ensure wider levels of competence and cover are developed
  • Communicates and coordinates with stakeholders during operation and in cases of breakdown
  • Creates backup plan in case of breakdown
  • Commits to and drives performance improvement
  • Collaborate with Contract Site Manager on the impact of operations on the delivery of day -to- day maintenance activities
  • Analyze and improve departmental processes, such as people development and career path

Required Education and Experience:

  • High level technical education
  • 5 years' experience in technical function related to controls
  • 3 years' experience in management / team leader function
  • Team building
  • Excellent verbal and Communication skills
  • Proper communicative and negotiation capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Controls Engineering
  • Warehouse Operations experience
  • Conveyor services or material handling services experience

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position supporting a customer's operational facility. Days and hours of work will be set with potential for overtime required.

Travel:

Occasional travel in North America could be required.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Oversee and manage the Services Maintenance Team.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The work environment/physical requirements described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Although a Controls Engineer predominantly works in the office, they also spend time at a customer site, where they sometimes handle packages or automatic equipment such as conveyor systems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed the baggage / package handling systems, mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The Controls Support Engineer will encounter mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment. Ear protection should be worn.

This is a full-time, exempt position, eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. The salary range listed represents the maximum and minimum starting base pay for this position as of the time of posting. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000.
