Job Description
The Distribution Manager position is responsible to manage all aspects of distribution operations, and as needed, to perform the duties of Distribution associate(s) to plan, prepare, organize, and move material to stock and/or for shipment in a safe and efficient manner to support the achievement of the company's business goals and objectives.

Qualifications:
1. 3-5 years distribution/warehouse management experience.
2. Forklift certification, with advanced forklift driving skillset.
3. Working knowledge of computer receiving software (able to operate a Windows based personal computer, Microsoft Office -Word, Excel Outlook)
4. Able to perform under deadlines and multitask.
5. Able to work a flexible schedule, at times.
6. Fluently speak and write in English.
7. Valid US driver's license.

Essential Duties:
1. program and all safety policies and maintain best practices, utilize the STOP program, and maintain clean/orderly work areas.
2. Successfully complete all required trainings, and attend/participate in required team meetings.
3. Oversee the workflow of and provide guidance and support to the Distribution Associate(s) to maintain efficiency and consistency.
4. Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiation, coordination, and enforcement of operational and personnel policies and procedures.
5. Coordinate material delivery/pick up times and transportation cost.
6. Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
7. Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with computerized system and year-end count.
8. Maintain all consigned inventory.
9. Prepare all shipping, receiving, BOL and certifications paperwork for incoming/outgoing shipments.
10. Update customers with freight status and providing them with shipment documentation.
11. Ensure safety, cleanliness, and security of the work environment.
12. Oversee the planned maintenance of forklift and equipment.
13. Building maintenance duties including but not limited to coordination with third party cleaning crew, light bulb changes and working with the building management company regarding any building needs/repairs.
14. Oversee the ordering of all supplies.
15. Loads, unloads, and moves material within or near warehouse floor and racks, as needed.
16. Weighs out material and prepares shipment per customer instructions and production needs, as needed.
17. Lifts product by hand or using forklift and physically packages material as instructed by customer specs, as needed.
18. Fill crates/boxes with Product for shipments, as needed.
19. Accurately prepare all documents and paperwork as required, as needed.
20. Receives material from containers or trucks using ERP system and/or handheld and move product to correct location, as needed.
