The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is seeking a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join an expanding academic department. The position is ideal for individuals interested in clinical practice, teaching, scholarship, including opportunities for academic leadership.

Position Summary

The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is seeking a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join a stable and growing Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This is a unique opportunity to advance a strong clinical and academic career in MIGS.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in Minimally-Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
  • Teach, train, mentor, and precept residents and medical students in the clinical context.
  • Develop scholarly activity; Prepare and deliver academic presentations.


Minimum Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Certified MIS-designated focus practice and/or AAGL/SLS fellowship trained
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois

Preferred Qualifications

  • Urogynecology experience
  • Experience with mentoring and training residents and medical students
  • Demonstrated ability to produce scholarly activity
