Your Responsibilities as a Junior Environmental Professional:

  • Work on projects that will require a mix of travel for field activities and office work to support client deliverables.
  • Participate as a key person performing environmental due diligence projects, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Perform reviews of historical records, regulatory information, and other data as appropriate.
  • Coordinating/scheduling with subcontractors and laboratories for new projects.
  • Oversee field monitoring and sampling of different media types including soil, groundwater, surface water, soil-gas/vapor, methane, and indoor air in accordance with ASTM standards, state and federal guidelines, and other industry guidelines.
  • Support the production of maps and site plans.
  • Assist in the evaluation and interpretation of various data to produce tables, graphs, and for support of conceptual site models as related to report generation .
  • Use various environmental equipment and instrumentation during field activities.
  • Prepare reports including those required to be written via using specific software platforms such as Quire. Adhere to health & safety plans prepared for specific projects and general health and safety protocols established by the company, including routine health and safety training requirements. Positive and proactive attitude with willingness to learn and support variety of projects.
  • Flexibility around travelling to support projects across the Division that can include overnight stays and long field days.

What we're looking for:

  • 0-5 years of experience that includes conducting site assessments, subsurface investigations and writing technical reports.
  • BS in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or a closely aligned science major including completion of a field course of study
  • Valid driver's license
  • GIT or EIT certification preferred (applicable to geologists/engineers only), but not required, or the ability to obtain within a reasonable period of employment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and ability to learn to use a variety of technical software packages.
  • Ability to participate in occasional emergency response efforts related to various releases.
