Position Title: CNC Machinist - 3rd Shift

Wage: $24.44/hour

Shift: 3rd (Able to Train on 1st or 2nd)

Hours: 11:00pm - 7:00am

QPS Employment Group has a great union opportunity available for a CNC Machinist at a company in Loves Park, IL. This is a potential to hire position for 3rd shift. Apply now!

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
- Set up machines for part numbers by using process prints or shop information packets (SIP)
- Obtain tooling, gaging and download CNC programs to set up machine to dimensions
- Perform first piece inspection on parts after setup to check for proper setup before beginning production
- Complete first piece inspection form and/or NCR (non-conformance report) for scrap including setup pieces
- Load pieces from tubs or skids into the machine and engage automatic cycle
- Load and start second and third machines
- Make necessary adjustments to machine programs and/or tooling changes to maintain the production of quality parts
- Record required job labor information on labor tickets

Requirements for CNC Machinist:
- Able to train on 1st or 2nd shift
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Able to compute rate, ratio and percent
- Working knowledge of reading blueprints, micrometers, gages, etc.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools
