Position Overview:

The Regional Engineering Project Manager will create, manage, and oversee engineering projects within the US Business Group. This is an individual contributor role with high responsibility for ensuring assigned projects are completed on time and within budget. The Project Manager will be the point person for assigned project deliverables, milestones, and updates. This is a pivotal role with high visibility and requires immaculate attention to detail, drive for results, and organization.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
 
  • Responsible for ensuring all the project requirements and/or objectives are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate internal resources.
  • Collaborate with customers (internal and external) from requirements to product acceptance.
  • Provide guidance to project teams.
  • Lead project planning sessions.
  • Manage project progress and adapt work as required.
  • Ensure projects meet deadlines.
  • Oversee and organize all incoming and outgoing project documentation.
  • Participate in tender process i.e. design, submission and review.
  • Design risk mitigation plan.
  • Conduct project review and create detailed reports for executive staff.
  • Optimize and improve processes and overall approach where necessary.
  • Secure growth opportunities and initiate new projects as needed.
  • Define project scale, goals and deliverables.
  • Manage projects budgets.
  • Create projects schedules and timelines and provide implementation support.
  • Lead quality assurance during preparation and execution phase of NPI/transfer processes.
  • Implement and manage customer changes when necessary.

Required Education & Experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Knowledge of metal mechanical processes.
  • Minimum 5 years' work-experience in project or program management.
  • Must have experience managing APQP methodology.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Experience in program management related to NPI (New Product Introductions) and product transfers between plants.
  • Travel to customer and supplier sites as necessary, perform on-site testing, and presenting technology. Travel required 10-20%.
